Mr. Edward T. Gagnon, 74, of Utica, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica with his loving family by his side. Edward was born in Utica, on April 30, 1947, the son of William and Edna (Hool) Gagnon. He was raised in Utica and acquired many useful skills while attending trade school. On July 17, 1965, Edward was united in marriage with Sharon Lusk at Zion Lutheran Church. For many years, Edward was employed with Orion Bus Industries. Edward was an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed, golf, softball, bowling and painting. He was a coach with the Bob Bernie Little League and a member of the former Sacred Heart Church in Utica. Edward’s grandchildren were the light of his life. He never missed a sporting event, school activity or function and was their biggest fan and supporter. Mr. Gagnon is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon; his three children, Brenda Gagnon of Utica, Edward “Buzzy” and Christa Gagnon of Rome and Holly Gagnon and Mike Lindquist of Utica; five cherished grandchildren, Brianna, Renee and her fiancée Anthony, Casey, Bella and Joe and his wife Lindsay; his siblings, Roseanne and Jim Magee, Jacqueline and Butch King, Jackie and Cynthia Gagnon, Raymond Gagnon and Denny and Wanda Gagnon; his sister-in-law, Dorothy Gagnon as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, William Gagnon, Jr., James Gagnon and Joseph Gagnon and four sisters, Betty Palmer, Marylou Zenobio, Arlene Appler and Alice Hoole. Visitation for family and friends is Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. Face coverings are required while in the building. A private family funeral and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Mr. Gagnon’s family extends their sincerest gratitude to their dear family and friends; Mary, Rosie, Angie, Paula, Kim, Theresa, Nick, Schmoe and Justin, for the loving care you provided to Edward and Sharon over the years. Your kindness will not be forgotten.
