Charles Casimir Radziewicz Obituary

     Mr. Charles Casimir Radziewicz, 89, of N. Utica, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at MVHS Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in New Hartford, with his loving family by his side.


     Charles was born in Archbald, PA, on March 8, 1934, the son of Alexander and Sophie (Zylka) Radziewicz. Charles proudly served in the US Army from 1954 until his honorable discharge in 1957. For many years, he was employed as a sheet metal fabricator with Utica Sheet Metal in Whitesboro, retiring in 1993.


     Charles was a man of love, honesty, integrity and had a great sense of humor. His love for his wife was unwavering and patience and dedication to his children was indescribable. Charles was a man of deep faith whose promises and commitment to God were undeniable. He treated neighborhood friends as family. His love and giving nature were recognized, appreciated and will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.


     Mr. Radziewicz is survived by his beloved wife, Darlene (Keller) Radziewicz; five children, Charles Radziewicz of NY Mills, David and Lisa Radziewicz of Tampa, FL, Christopher Radziewicz of Utica, Diane (Radziewicz) Farber of Brookfield and Daniel and Melissa Radziewicz of Ilion; two brothers, Peter Radziewicz and Leonard and Fran Radziewicz; sister, Mary Ann Hartmann and sister-in-law, Geri Radziewicz as well as 13 cherished grandchildren, 7 adored great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Alexander Radziewicz, Jr, son-in-law, Bill Farber and brother-in-law, Charles Hartmann.


     Visitation for family and friends is Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at the conclusion of Visitation.
