
Obituary of Jacqueline A. Campese
Jacqueline “Chee-Chee” A. Campese, 70 of Utica, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Wynn Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Jacqueline was born in Utica, on October 14, 1954, the daughter of John “Jack” and Mary (Meenan) Oliver. She was raised and educated in Utica and was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School in N. Utica. At one time, Jacqueline was employed at Best Western in N. Utica and for over 25 years, as a dietary supervisor at the Masonic Care Community in Utica. Jacqueline enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching TV, especially Family Feud. She never missed a birthday, always to first to send a card and make a phone call to wish her loved one a happy birthday and enjoyed spending Christmas Eve with her family, especially her niece, Tammy and nephew, Jimbo. Jacqueline’s unconditional love for her family and friends, and especially her cherished grandchildren, was evident to all who knew her. She was a parishioner of St. Peter’s Church in N. Utica.
Jacqueline is survived by her devoted son, Michael Doolen of Utica; three cherished grandchildren, Michael, IV, Bianca and Kayla; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Barbara and John Gwilt of Sylvan Beach, Patricia Brunet of FL and Mary Baker of Utica; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Jim and (Betty) McGinnley of FL and David Valentine and his fiancée Tarri Valenti of N. Utica; a special nephew, John, as well as several adored nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Mary; two brothers-in-law, Jimmy Baker, Sr. and Don Brunet, Sr. and nephew, Russell Shreck, Jr.
Visitation for family and friends is Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica followed by a memorial service at 6:00 PM at the conclusion of Visitation.
