Obituary of Marianne Jacklyn Nolan

     Mrs. Marianne Jacklyn Nolan, 89, a resident of The Pines at Utica Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation and formerly of N. Utica, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the nursing home.

     Marianne was born in Utica, on December 19, 1935, the daughter of Daniel and Mary (McCarthy) Lynch. She was raised and educated in Utica, was a 1953 graduate of Utica Catholic Academy and earned her nursing degree from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in 1956. On May 3, 1958, Marianne was united in marriage with Thomas W. Nolan at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Utica, a loving and devoted union of 42 years until Thomas’ death in 2021. For many years, Marianne was employed as a registered nurse at St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital in New Hartford. She was a parishioner of St. Peter’s Church in N. Utica.

     Mrs. Nolan is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judith and David Husted of Westmoreland; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Nolan of Whitesboro, and three cherished grandchildren, Kevin Nolan, Kelly Husted and Patrick Husted. Marianne has now been reunited with her husband Thomas and son John (Jack) Patrick Nolan who predeceased her.

     Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Marianne’s Memorial Mass of Christian burial on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Peter’s Church 422 Coventry Ave., N. Utica. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of Mass. She will be laid to rest in St. Agnes Cemetery in Utica in the spring.

     Mrs. Nolan’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at The Pines at Utica Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation for the wonderful care and compassion you provided to Marianne.
