    Mrs. Kathleen J. Jones, 78, of Marcy, NY passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Wynn Hospital in Utica.


    Kathleen was born in Utica, on June 6, 1946, the daughter of Joseph M. and Alma Esele (Randall) Romano. She was raised in Utica, was a graduate of Utica Catholic Academy and St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Radiology. On June 15, 1979, Kathleen was united in marriage with Dennis H. Jones, a loving and devoted union of 46 years. At one time, Kathleen was employed at the office of Dr. Segal and later until her retirement, as a clinical instructor at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Kathleen enjoyed hosting holidays and special occasions, trips to Aruba and had a true passion for cooking. She was of the Catholic faith.


    Mrs. Jones is survived by her loving husband, Dennis; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa A. (Christopher) Ace of Batavia, NY; son, Matthew J. MacKay; step-son, Curtis (Renee) Jones of Watertown, MA; step-daughter, Jennifer (Patrick) LaFreida of Alpine, NJ; four cherished grandchildren, Jack Jones, Connor Jones, Patrick Hunter LaFreida and Giuliana LaFreida; her brother, John Bruce Romano of Jamesville DeWitt, NY and nephew, Mark Romano.


    Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Kathleen’s memorial Mass of Christian burial on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Mary, Mother of Our Savior Parish, Our Lady of Lourdes Campus, 2222 Genesee St., Utica. The family will greet visitors at the conclusion of the memorial Mass. She will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum in Yorkville.
