    Mrs. Mary Ann Kerwin, 93, a resident of the MVHS Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in New Hartford, formerly of Whitesboro, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, at the nursing home.

    Mary Ann was born in Utica, on October 9, 1931, the daughter of Stephen and Catherine (Brzezicka) Petrowski. She was raised and educated in Utica and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. In November of 1969, Mary Ann was united in marriage with Bernard “Bernie” E. Kerwin, a devoted union of 44 years, until Bernard’s death in 2013. Mary Ann was a devoted parishioner of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Whitesboro.

    Mrs. Kerwin is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Kathleen Petrowski of Yorkville, NY and David and Jacqueline Petrowski of Myrtle Beach, SC; stepson, James and Carol Kerwin of NC; two grandchildren, Kyle Petrowski and Allie Semeraro of Utica and Sierra Petrowski of Atlanta, GA; one sister. Raymonda Jubis of Whitesboro as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five sisters, Florence Arcuri, Lauretta Tomaino, Rita Diana and twin sisters, Lenora Carvelli and Lorraine Sobiera and a stepdaughter, Donna Bosco.

    Visitation for family and friends is Monday, March 31, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 noon at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Followed by a funeral service at 12:00 noon at the conclusion of visitation. She will be laid to rest in St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyrs Cemetery in Whitesboro.
