Mr. Robert H. Wasyleski, 66, of Schuyler, NY, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at his home with his loving family by his side.

     Robert was born in Herkimer, NY, on May 1, 1958, the son Robert and Annie (Anderson) Wasyleski. He was raised and educated in Frankfort, was a graduate of Frankfort Schuyler High School and attended Herkimer College where he studied criminal justice. On May 29, 1999, Robert was united in marriage with Dawn K. Dorsey at West Schuyler United Methodist Church. At one time, Robert was employed at Diversified Case in Whitesboro, later as a manager at AC Moore in N. Utica and most recently as an LPN at the Oneida Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Utica, retiring in 2024. Robert was a dedicated lifetime member of the Schuyler Volunteer Fire Company, a member of the Schuyler Zoning Board and past member of the Schuyler Recreation Committee. He was a devoted NY Jets and Syracuse Orangeman fan as well as an avid collector of Hess Trucks. He was of the Catholic faith.

     Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Dawn; four cherished children, Robert Allan Wasyleski, Christopher Wasyleski, Kayla Wasyleski and Emily Wasyleski all of Schuyler; his mother, Annie Anderson of Schuyler; two sisters, Melissa (Gil) Olcott of Munnsville, NY and Michele (John Kramer) Derby of Lakeport, NY; one brother, Bill (Justine Minosh) Derby of Ilion; two brothers-in-law, Larry Dorsey, Jr. of TN and Thomas (Gretchen) Dorsey of IN and nine nieces and nephews, Michael Derby, Kerry (Amber) Wyley, Cait Mitchell, Kimberlee Mitchell, Lacie Mitchell, Dustin Derby, Owyn Bishop, Trey Dorsey, Ashylynn Dorsey and Piper Dorsey. He was predeceased by his father, Robert; maternal grandparents, Harold and Freida Anderson; sister, Debra Wasyleski and niece, Cassandra Derby.

     Visitation for family and friends is Friday, April 18, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica followed by a service at 6:00 PM at the conclusion of visitation. He will be laid to rest in Hurricane Cemetery in Gray, NY.
