Kharl Martin Swartz, age 56, passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, on July 24, 2025, with his loving wife by his side.

    Kharl was born in Utica, on April 11, 1969, the son of William and Patricia (Winters) Swartz. He was raised in Utica and was a 1987 graduate of Whitesboro High School. On August 1, 1992, Kharl was united in marriage with Lori Allen, a blessed union of 32 years. Out of this union came two daughters, Leasha and Kayla. 

    Kharl was a model train buff and was working on a train setup for his cherished grandchildren.

    Kharl is survived by his beloved wife, Lori; two daughters, Leasha (Ryan) Erb and grandchildren, Ava, Christopher and Mika Erb; Kayla (Duane) Simmons and grandchildren, Keilaha, Chloe, Joshua and Odessa Simmons; his mother, Patricia Swartz; his brother, Eric (Allie) Swartz and niece, Sofia; his father-in-law, Jim Owen; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gerri and Walt Allen and his brothers-in-law, Brian Allen and Walter Allen. He was predeceased by his father, William Swartz; brother, Michael Swartz and mother-in-law, Odessa Owen.

   Kharl’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff on the oncology unit at Wynn Hospital as well as the Staff of Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., for the loving care you provided. A special thank you to Dianne Reinhardt for the wonderful help you provided.

   There are no calling hours or services.
