Marvin E Swift of Utica NY passed away on September 1st, 2025, at The Utica Rehabilitation and Nursing Center where he spent his final months with his beloved wife Sandra J Swift. Marvin fought a long and courageous fight with cancer and is now at peace from his illness.
Marvin was born on February 27th, 1953. He spent most of life living in Palmetto, FL with his wife and their dogs. In Florida, they spent a majority of their time together doing flea markets together.
Marvin was predeceased by his loving Mother Marlene Mott, and Stepfather Rocco Alsante, his daughter Tammy Swift, and brother Darrel Swift. He is survived by his loving wife Sandra Swift, two sisters, Debra Wojcik and Sandra Alsante. Marvin is also survived by his Aunt Patricia Teti and Uncle Dominic Teti, his children and stepchildren, one of whom is Barbara Haney who stood close by his side in his last moments. Many grandchildren include Antoinette, James Jr, and Danielle Haney. Lastly, many great grandchildren who he cherished.
At this time our family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Utica Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and the Hospice Team.
A graveside service for Marvin E Swift will be held at the Calvary Cemetery on September 8th, 2025, at 11:30am. Everyone who knew Marvin is welcome to attend the graveside services.
