Anthony L. LePorte, Jr. Obituary

   Anthony L. LePorte, Jr., 55, of Vernon, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.


   Anthony was born on May 26, 1970, the beloved son of Anthony L. Sr., and Nancy Jean (Snyder) LePorte. He was raised locally, was a 1988 graduate of Notre Dame High School and attended Cazenovia College. At one time, Anthony was employed at Bank of America Call Center in Utica. Tony was known for being a car enthusiast, his favorite being the Firebird.  One of his most prized possessions was his Firebird! He loved eating pizza and wings while watching sports with friends and family. He was an avid Buffalo Bills, NY Rangers, NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt fan.  When he was younger, he enjoyed spending time at the St. Lawrence River with family, fishing and camping.   Anthony was of the Catholic faith.


   Anthony is survived by his four sisters, MaryLourdes (John) Durdan of Whitesboro, Suzanne LePorte of Schuyler, Jacquelyn (Ronald) Starsiak of Deerfield and Michelle (Edward) Simpson of Deerfield, several nieces and nephews, especially Ronnie Starsiak and Eddie Simpson with whom he shared a special bond with sharing their love for cars and sports, as well as many great nieces and nephews.   He also leaves behind his Aunts and Uncle George and Ann Snyder, and Marie Slaga, cousins and special friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony Sr. and Nancy Jean LePorte, Grandparents Giacomo and Philomena LePorte, and Martha (Snyder) Copperwheat.


   Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Anthony's Memorial Mass of Christian burial on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Mark's Church, 440 Keyes Rd., N. Utica. The family will greet visitors at the conclusion of the Mass.
