Robert T. Williams, Jr. Obituary

   Mr. Robert T. Williams, Jr., 66, of Utica, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025, in the comfort of his home, with his loving family by his side.


   Robert was born in Utica, on April 16, 1959, the son of Robert T., Sr. and Mary (Weigel) Williams. He was raised and educated in Utica, was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and Mohawk Valley Community College. On October 24, 1981, Robert was united in marriage with Camy A. Creo at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church in Utica. For many years, Robert was employed as a civil engineer at the NY State Department of Transportation. Robert was an avid hunter and fisherman, and especially loved fishing on his Ranger Bass Boat on Cazenovia Lake. He was also a sports enthusiast who will be remembered for the many years of dedicated service, as the clock operator, at Notre Dame High School Basketball games. Robert was a “Jack of all trades” who was gifted with the ability to solve most problems or fix most things, big or small. His greatest joy was his cherished grandchildren and the time he spent with them. He was their biggest supporter at their school functions and sporting events. Robert was a parishioner of The Church of The Sacred Heart and St. Mary, Our Lady of Czestochowa in NY Mills and the former Sacred Heart Church in Utica.


    Mr. Williams is survived by his beloved wife, Camy; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert T. Williams, IV of Utica, Ryan M. and Lisha Williams of Holland Patent, Corey J. and Kaylin Williams of Deerfield and Shawn P. Williams of Utica; his niece, who was like a daughter to Robert, Caitlin Granitto and her fiancé Damien Armitage of Utica; five cherished grandchildren, Payton, Laney, Cameron, Jace and Jax and a close family friend, Marge Weaver, who so lovingly helped care for Robert over the past several years; Your kindness and compassion is appreciated more than words can express.. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Mary and sister, Karen Williams.


   Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a celebration of life on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 2:00-5:00 pm at American Legion Utica Post 229, 409 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Robert will be laid to rest in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Whitesboro at the convenience of the family.
