Thomas Michael Reilly, known as Tim, 71, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 9th, 2025, in the Comfort of his own home.
He was Born December 12, 1953, in Utica, NY, the son of James and Catherine (Mosher) Reilly. He graduated from Utica Free Academy, where he was a three-year letterman athlete for the Football and Volleyball team.
Out of his many talents, Tim chose a career as a locksmith at Faxton-St Luke’s Hospital, where he worked for over 30 years. Tim was extremely mechanically inclined and was known as the man to call with household repairs by family friends, and those in need.
One of Tim’s great passions came outside of his employment, where for 35 years he was involved in the
reovery community.
He married his wife, Leslie, in 2002, and they had 23 1/2 beautiful years of marriage where they supported each other in life, with love and friendship.
He was a coach for both his son’s and daughter’s baseball, softball, basketball and football teams. He was known for his generosity in offering any player on the teams’ rides, making sure kids made it to practice and home safely.
His greatest joy was spending time with his children and granddaughters, who he was known to as “Biggie.” He enjoyed supporting them by going to sporting events, school extracurriculars, and prioritizing family time. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing with his brothers, sons, and friends.
Surviving are his wife Leslie (Dance) Reilly; son, Tom Reilly (MaryTerese); daughter, Ellie (Matt) Cornmire, and step-son Gene Falvo; grandchildren, Emma, Maddison, and Ella Cornmire; Siblings, Patricia Riolo, Susan (Sam) Serianni, William (April) Reilly, Richard (Sandy) Reilly, Jeffrey (Sandy) Reilly and Lorrie (Douglas) Pettengill as well as countless nieces, nephews and cousins. Tim was pre-deceased by his brother James (Jeanne) Reilly and brother-in-law-Joseph Riolo.
