Ms. Stella Tracz, 98, a resident of Foltsbrook Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Herkimer, formerly of Marcy, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the nursing home.

     Stella was born in Williamstown, PA on November 1, 1927, the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Pysz) Cehovin. She was raised in Utica and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. For many years until her retirement, Stella was employed at General Electric Company in Utica. She was a devout Catholic and an active parishioner at St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church in Utica.

     Ms. Tracz is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Tracz of Utica; her sister, Joanne Cehovin of Jamesville, NY as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Frank Cehovin and two sisters, Nellie Straub and Rose Szczygiel.

     Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Stella’s memorial Mass of Christian burial on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church, 702 Columbia St., Utica. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Utica.
