Mr. Mack Cohen, 91, of Utica, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Utica.

     Mack was born in Allendale, SC, on July 29, 1934, the son of Arthur Manuel and Mary Cohen and received his education there. In 1962, Mack was united in marriage with Julia Bailey in Queens, NY, a devoted union of 60 years until Julia’s passing in 2022. For many years, Mack was a grave digger at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Queens, NY and a member of the United Workers Service Union Local 74. Mack enjoyed music, dressing to the nines and dancing to the sounds of Nat King Cole. He was a member of Second Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Allendale, SC. Mack greatest joy was his beloved family. The love he felt when he was surrounded by his beloved children and grandchildren truly melted his heart.

     Our father, Mack Cohen was a quiet, complicated man, who kept his own counsel. He was a caring man who loved all his children and grandchildren alike. He showed his love by remaining at arms reach to us all and ever present for his family.

     Mr. Cohen is survived by his daughters, Patricia Cohen, Barbara Cohen, Janet Cohen, Sabrina Cohen, Mary Nessen and Karen Cohen; sons, Norman Cohen and Arthus Cohen, Jr., nephews Douglas Garrison and Mack Cohen and niece, Carol Garrison, as well as 35 cherished grandchildren and 65 adored great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Dina Cohen; son, Michael Cohen; sister, Nancy Cohen; brothers, Major Cohen and Eugene Cohen and nephews, Jonathan Cohen and Eugene Cohen.

     It is with a heavy heart that our father, Mack Cohen was cremated on October 27, 2025, as he requested. The family followed his wishes. We miss him immensely and he remains in our hearts forever. With love his daughter Sabrina Cohen and family.
