Mr. Ronald Clark Stevens, 79, of North Utica, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Wynn Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Utica on October 31, 1946, Ronald was the son of Frank and Dorothy (Cox) Stevens. He grew up in Utica, graduated from Utica Free Academy, and went on to earn his associate’s degree in graphic arts from Mohawk Valley Community College.
On July 11, 1970, Ronald married the love of his life, Adeleen Marie Granieri, at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church in Utica. Together they shared nearly 40 years of devotion and joy until Adeleen’s passing in 2010. Ronald dedicated much of his career to the Observer-Dispatch in Utica, where he worked faithfully until his retirement in 2008. Outside of work, he was a man of many passions: an avid hunter and fisherman, a devoted Sudoku puzzle solver, and a trivia enthusiast who delighted in testing his knowledge.
Mr. Stevens will be remembered with love by his daughter, Lynette Stevens (Kenneth Carboni) of North Utica; his son, Mark Stevens (Jodi Reutzel) of East Millinocket, ME; and his four cherished grandchildren, Kaylee (Austin) Ryan, Katelynn Carboni, Brandon Stevens, and Nicholas Stevens. Ronald also leaves behind his adored great-granddaughter, Emilia Deering, and his beloved canine companions, Rex and Jax, who brought him endless joy.
In accordance with Ronald’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. His family takes comfort in knowing he is reunited with Adeleen and will forever remain in their hearts.
