Mr. Steve Grasselli, 72, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Francis House, surrounded by his loving family.

     Steve was born in Quincy, Massachusetts, on May 9, 1953, the son of Joseph and Alice (Wilson) Grasselli. On July 14, 1984, in Utica, New York, he was united in marriage to Johanne “Jody” Heintz. Steve was a skilled, self-employed cabinet maker, specializing in Shaker oval boxes, and he was formerly employed by Stickley Furniture in Manlius, NY. He was a  parishioner of St. Daniel’s Church in Syracuse and was a proud friend of Bill W. for 46 years.

     Steve is survived by his beloved wife, Jody; his two daughters, Mary Goldthwait and Laura Grasselli, both of Syracuse; and his cherished grandchildren, Daniel, Madison, Jamie, Logan, and Walter. He is also survived by two sisters and one brother.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Daniel’s Church, Syracuse. Calling hours will be held at the church from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13208, in Steve’s memory.

     The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Francis House for the compassionate and loving care shown to Steve.
