Miss. Mikila Richards, 43, of Utica, passed away on December 30, 2025, at the Cooperstown Center, surrounded by her loving family, and friends.

    Mikila was born on October 8, 1982, in Buffalo, New York, the daughter of Michael and Cheryl (Moss) Richards. She received her education in the Buffalo School District and was formerly employed with U.S. Bank. Mikila had a generous heart and a deep passion for helping others, often volunteering with local charities and assisting at area homeless shelters.

   Mikila is survived by her two beloved daughters, Gabriella Leon and Audrianna Figueroa; a stepson, Richardo Perez; her mother, Cheryl Moss; and her dear friends, Rebecca Stockton and Francesca Gomez. She was predeceased by her father, Michael Richards, and her brother, Michael Richards. Along with her aunts, uncles and her grandparents. 

    In keeping with Mikila’s wishes, funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
