Mr. Renald J. Moreau, 75, of Deerfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 9, 2026, at his home, with his loving wife by his side.

    Renald was born on July 10, 1950, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, a son of Maurice and Anais (Levesque) Moreau. He was raised in Pittsfield and graduated from Notre Dame High School in Pittsfield. Renald continued his education at Mohawk Valley Community College, where he earned an associate’s degree in electrical engineering technology. On July 31, 1982, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Linda L. Eschner, at St. Mark’s Church in North Utica. Renald was employed as a designer with the General Electric Company, working in Pittsfield, MA, and later in Utica, retiring after more than 30 years of dedicated service. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and bowling; however, his true passion was horse racing. He was of the Catholic faith.

     Mr. Moreau is survived by his beloved wife, Linda; his brothers-in-law, Gary (Janice) Eschner of Bristol, CT and Bruce (Mary) Eschner, Sr. of Clinton, CT; two nieces, Lana (Ryan) Wentland and Jeannette Eschner; a nephew, Bruce Eschner, Jr.; and three great-nephews, Eric, Chad, and Zachary as well as many dear friends to numerouis to mentiop. Renald was predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Anais and his loved canine companion, Olivia

   Funeral services and burial will take place in Connecticut at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc., 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, NY 13413.

    Renald’s wife, Linda, extends her heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff of Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc., especially Karrisa, Angela, and Sarah, for the compassionate and loving care provided to Renald. Your kindness and dedication will always be remembered.
