Lloyd Mitchell Sr., of Floyd, NY, Passed away peacefully on Friday, January 9,2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in New Hartford, NY, on December 26, 1966, a son of the late Mark and Elaine (Almond) Mitchell.

Lloyd enjoyed spending his time talking with fellow operators on his CB radio and working on computers, hobbies that brought him joy and connection with others.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sally Taylor: his two sons, Anthony Mitchell and Lloyd (Jodie) Mitchell Jr.; his brothers Edward Abbott and John Nobles, sister Rebekah Abbott. several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, many friends and fellow CB operators, including Nieces Jennifer Mitchell and Tamara (Batime) Francois, cousins John (Carissa) Brady and Stanley (Wendy) Linebeck; Uncle Wesley Brady and predeceased by Aunt Polly Brady.

A celebration of Lloyd's life will be held at a later date, at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements will be entrusted to Heintz Funeral Service, Inc., 1517 Whitesboro Street, Utica, NY 13502.
