Mrs. Patricia Rose Siuta, 93, a resident of Bethany Gardens Skilled Living Center in Rome, formerly of North Utica, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026 at the nursing home.

     Patricia was born in Utica on December 31,1932 the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Konecki) Swider. She was raised in Utica and was a graduate of Proctor High School. She married Stanley Siuta at St. Stanislaus Church and they shared 49 happy years until his passing in 1999.

    She was employed by Nichol’s Department Store, AC Moore and JoAnn Fabrics and was proud to be the Pierogi Teacher at BOCES. 

      Patricia was very involved in St. Stan’s Mother’s Club and other church activities, her Red Hat Society and Deerfield Seniors. During her years in the nursing home, she enjoyed making craft projects and kept herself busy crocheting washcloths.

    Mrs. Siuta was predeceased by her son David. She is survived by her children: Shirley Siuta (Richard Golowski), Donna and Danny Walters, Linda Loveday, Stan and Maria (Pandolfo), Lorelei Reile, and Rosemary and Frank Wameling. She is also survived by her sister, Bernice Marcinkiewicz and brother Joseph (Helen) Swider as well as multiple grandchildren; Nicole (Jamie)Thompson, Derek Walters, Patrick (Melissa) Walters, Michael (Jill) Mallozzi, Nick (Licia) Mallozzi, Thomas Canfield, Dominick Reile, Salvatore Reile, Gabriela (Carl) Warncke, Morgan (Jay) Young, Madison Randall and Megan Randall and great grandchildren: Isabella Walters, Eve and Margot Mallozzi, Landon Mallozzi and Stella Warncke, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Josephine Williams.

    Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Patricia’s Memorial Mass of Christian burial on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 10:30 AM at The Church of The Sacred Heart and St. Mary, Our Lady of Czestochowa, 201 Main St., New York Mills, NY. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Stanley in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Whitesboro in the spring. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of Mass.
