Virginia M. Doyle Obituary

Mrs. Virginia M. (Babowicz) Doyle, 92, a lifelong area resident, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Wynn Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Virginia was born in Utica on May 11, 1933, the daughter of Joseph and Julia (Wentka) Babowicz. She attended Holy Trinity Grade School and was a 1950 graduate of Utica Free Academy. Virginia furthered her education at the Utica School of Commerce, where she earned a degree in Secretarial Science. On June 6, 1953, Virginia was united in marriage to Richard C. Doyle at Holy Trinity Church in Utica. Their loving union spanned more than 59 years, until his passing on September 20, 2012. Virginia started her career working in insurance before devoting herself to her family as a full-time homemaker, lovingly raising her children. She later returned to the workforce and was employed by the Land of the Oneidas Council, Boy Scouts of America, where she served as registrar until her retirement in 1996. She found great joy in tending to her flower gardens and she was of the Catholic faith. Virginia will be remembered as a deeply devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who always placed the needs of others before her own.

Mrs. Doyle is survived by her loving and devoted children, Jeanie Ann and Peter Chambrone of Holland Patent, NY, and James R. and Lorena Doyle of Cicero, NY; her cherished grandchildren, Brian Chambrone and his wife Sydney of Orchard Park, NY, Kalyn Chambrone of Deerfield, NY, Kimberly Danielle Doyle and her husband First Lieutenant US Army, Jesse Paddock of Alabama, Eric Munoz and his wife Samantha of Liverpool, NY and Alan Munoz of San Diego, CA; her adored great-grandchildren, Carter Chambrone, Mateo Munoz and Viviana Munoz; her brother-in-law, William Booth and her nephew, Robert Booth both of Deerfield, NY. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Julia Babowicz, and her sister, Julie C. Booth.
