Tonya L. Gifford passed away peacefully at her home in Watertown, New York, on February 11, 2026.

Born in Oneida NY on September 27, 1981, Tonya was the beloved daughter of Danny Gifford and the late Loren (Crossley) Fuhrken. Tonya was a graduate of Indian River Central School. She lived a quiet and simple life, finding comfort living in the North Country where she would race at Evans Mills Speedway and had a knack for working on cars. She especially enjoyed the companionship of her cherished cat Kouzie.

Tonya is survived by her loving father, Danny Gifford; Siblings Shannon (Scott) Madore, Daniel (Amanda) Gifford, Katelyn (John) Gray and Daniel (EmmaLeigh) Fuhrken. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Tonya is predeceased by her mother Loren.

In keeping with the family’s wishes, funeral services will be held privately at their convenience. Arrangements are entrusted to Heintz Funeral Service Inc., 1517 Whitesboro Street, Utica, NY 13502.
