Barbara Varga passed away peacefully at her home on February 11, 2026.

   Born on May 2, 1956, Barbara was the beloved daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Schwertfeger) Pike. She was a graduate of Whitesboro Central School and later united in marriage with the late Joseph Varga.

  Barbara was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her cherished daughter, Krysta Finley (Martin); her three beloved grandchildren, Kyleigh, Elio, and Jimmy; and her treasured great-grandson, Alan. She also leaves behind four sisters, Lynn Stoddard (Mort), Karen Pike-Roberts (George), Cheryl Deno (Tom), three brothers, Robert Pike (Patti), Joseph Pike (Diane), and James Pike (Andrea) and brother-in-law, David Ranager. Barbara is now reunited with her beloved son, Christopher, as well as her parents, Robert and Mary, her husband Joseph and her sister Dawn Ranager.

   In keeping with Barbara’s wishes, funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Heintz Funeral Service Inc., 408 Herkimer Road, Utica, NY 13502.
