Mrs. Jennie C. DiFiore, 98, a resident of the Masonic Care Community in Utica, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, at the nursing home with her loving family by her side.

     Jennie was born in Utica on February 29, 1928, the daughter of Elmer and Mamie (Sardina) Ciccone. She was raised and educated in Utica and was a graduate of Thomas R. Proctor High School. On May 29, 1948, Jennie was united in marriage to Rosario DiFiore. Together they shared a blessed union of sixty-three years until Rosario’s passing on November 26, 2011.

     Jennie was formerly employed at Morris Drapery in New Hartford as a bookkeeper and later at the Colozzi Card Shop. She enjoyed many hobbies throughout her life, including sewing, crafts, painting, bowling, knitting, and especially cooking for her family.

     Mrs. DiFiore is survived by her loving children: her son, Robert DiFiore and his wife Cheryl; her daughter, Janice Zarnoch and her husband Jerry and her son, Richard DiFiore and his wife Mary. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Paul Zarnoch, Linda (Ray) Hirtzel, Jerad Zarnoch, Robert (Stephanie) DiFiore, Mark (Carina) Goodman, Michael (Liz) DiFiore, and Mark (Jennie) DiFiore. Jennie was also blessed to be a great-grandmother to Casey, Lucas, Madeline, James, Cooper, Yahna, Emma, Justin, Landyn, Brayden, Jake, Catie, Allie, Charlotte, Leigh, and Emma. She also leaves behind a special godchild, Colleen Conley. Besides her beloved husband, Rosario and parents, Elmer and Mamie, Jennie was predeceased by two sisters, Sarah Trunfio and Rosalie Francis and a brother, Vincent Ciccone.

     Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jennie’s Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Historic St. John’s Church in Utica. The family will greet visitors at the conclusion of the Mass. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Utica.

     Jennie’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff of the Queens Household at the Masonic Care Community, as well as the staff of Foltsbrook Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Herkimer, for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Jennie.
