Kim Robert Campany Obituary

     Mr. Kim Robert Campany, 72, a resident of the Katherine Luther Residential Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Clinton, NY, formerly of Cicero, NY, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Wynn Hospital with his loving family by his side.


     Kim was born in Lowville, New York, on June 20, 1953, the son of Robert and Colleen (Marlowe) Campany. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. For many years, Kim worked as a dedicated plumber, most recently with LaFrance Plumbing and Heating in Syracuse, from which he retired in 2025. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing and was a proud member of VFW Post 600 in Canastota.


     Kim is survived by his loving sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Tony Zysk of North Utica; his devoted stepmother, Leta Campany, who was like a mother to him; his siblings, Rosa Torres and Ronald Campany, both of Oneida, who stood alongside Sue during Kim’s recent surgeries and his dear aunt, Marlene Marlowe of NJ. He is also survived by his two nieces, Trista Brown and Christina Thur, who were a constant source of support during his time of need; his dear friend, Michelle O’Rourke; as well as 10 additional siblings and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Donna, and his brother, Mike.


     Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Road, North Utica. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 Noon at the conclusion of visitation. Kim will be laid to rest alongside his mother, Colleen, and his brother, Mike, in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Rome, New York.


     In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Kim’s memory are kindly asked to consider a donation to the Central New York Veteran’s Outreach Center, 726 Washington Street, Utica, NY 13502. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.


     Mr. Campany’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff at the Lutheran Home, especially Kelly McCoy and Kelly Shanley for the loving and compassionate care you provided to Kim. A special thank you to Grace on the 5th floor at Wynn Hospital for the kindness you showed to Kim and support in answering the many questions we had.
