Ronald G. Zyskowski 1946-2026

UTICA-Ronald G. Zyskowski, 79, of Utica, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026, at Wynn Hospital, with his loving family by his side. 

     Ronald was born in Utica on August 25, 1946, the son of Adam and Mary (Perlock) Zyskowski. He was raised in Utica and educated in the Utica City School District. Ronald proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, from 1966 through 1970. On August 29, 1970, Ronald was united in marriage to the love of his life, Rosemary Paul, at St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church in Utica. Together they shared 55 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered on family, love, and devotion. Ronald was employed as a postal clerk with the United States Post Office in Utica for many years. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Above all, Ronald found his greatest joy in watching his children and grandchildren participate in sports and cherished every moment spent with them. 

     Ronald is survived by his beloved wife, Rosemary; his four sons, Ronald and Laura Zyskowski, Garrett and Jennifer Zyskowski, Matthew Zyskowski, and Michael Zyskowski; and his five cherished grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica, Ashley, Benjamin, and Emma Zyskowski. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Robert Morris; his nephews, Joseph Saccal, Daniel Saccal, Mark Saccal, Ryan Morris, and Mark Morris; along with several extended family members and dear friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Saccal, and his nephew, Jerry Saccal. 

     The family would like to pay special thanks to the medical staff at Wynn Hospital who provided exceptional care during his final days.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Ronald’s funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church, 702 Columbia St., Utica. He will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Yorkville.
