Frank Charles Sergott Obituary
Frank Charles Sergott, a devoted parishioner of St. Mark’s Church, passed away on Easter Sunday April 5, 2026, at Wynn Hospital.
Frank was born on March 26, 1959, in Utica, New York, the son of the late Charles and Arlene (Yorke) Sergott. He was educated locally and remained a lifelong member of the community.
Frank was previously employed as a Physical Therapist Assistant at St. Luke’s Nursing Home, a position he truly enjoyed and where he formed many meaningful connections.
Frank was a man of many talents, especially when it came to music. He enjoyed playing the drums in local polka bands and brought joy to many as a DJ for weddings, parties, and special events. He was also a member of the United Polka League for many years. Beyond music, Frank had a deep love for travel and sightseeing. He cherished the opportunities he had to explore the Caribbean, Europe and visit Hawaii—experiences that brought him great happiness and lasting memories.
Frank is survived by his sister, Virginia Sroka; his niece, Teresa (Nathanael Earl) DeGrace; his nephew, David Sroka; and his beloved great-niece Audrey DeGrace and his beloved great-nephew Stephen DeGrace IV, and also his close cousins Edward Sergott and Janice Ryczek. He also leaves behind his close friends, Kathy and Casmir Witt, Rodger Roberts, and Laurie Ruggiero, all of whom will miss him dearly.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, St. Mark’s Campus. The family will receive friends at the conclusion of the Mass. Inurnment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
