Mr. John Francis Harvey, 57, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 5, 2026.

    John was born in Taipei, Taiwan on July 5, 1968, the son of the Claude and Hatsue (Okuyama) Harvey. He was most recently employed as a security guard for various businesses throughout the Utica area. John was also a devoted parishioner of St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church, Utica.

    John is survived by his loving sister, Susan Khan; his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Kathy Harvey; his cherished nephews and Niece, Bryan (Kara), Kristopher (Brittany), Nabil and Kayla (Derek); his adored great nephews and Great nieces, Noah, Addelyn, Ryland, Paisley, Aubree, Peyton, and Sydney.  His dearest close friends Tracy and Carol Pugliese. He was predeceased by his parents, Claude and Hatsue.

    Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a memorial Mass of Christian burial and celebration of life to honor John on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church, 702 Columbia St., Utica. He will be laid to rest in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Whitesboro at the convenience of his family.
