Mr. John Joseph Brown, 63, of Rome, NY, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Rome Memorial Hospital.

     John was born in Utica on September 28, 1962, the son of Martin and Mary Lindfield. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—listening to music, rocking in his recliner, and the beauty of nature.

     John is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronald and Colleen Kessler and Richard and Kim Kessler and his many dear friends and staff members at West Embargo St., IRA and Delta Acres Day Hab as well as several nieces and nephews.

     Visitation for family and friends is Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 12:00 noon until 1:00 P.M. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica, followed by a prayer service at 1:00 P.M. at the conclusion of Visitation. He will be laid to rest in Glenside Cemetery in New York Mills.
