Anthony John Lamandia,77, of Utica, NY entered peacefully into eternal rest on April 15, 2026, with his beloved wife and daughters by his side.

     Anthony was born on June 23, 1948, the eldest of 6 children. He was raised in the Catholic faith and served as an altar boy at St. Francis de Sales Church. He graduated from Utica Free Academy and enlisted in the US Army, serving 3 years in active duty during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and earned the Expert Marksmanship Badge. He married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Carol Williams, with whom he had a union of pure love, loyalty and devotion for 60 years. 

     Anthony was a dedicated father, there for all the big moments in his daughter's and grandkid's lives. He enjoyed cruising around in his Chevy Camaro, boating with his family on Oneida Lake, fishing with his grandsons, camping and traveling with Carol and playing his guitar. Anthony had a strong work ethic and always provided for his family. He retired from the Oneida County Sheriff's Office where he was employed as a Court Security Officer. He shared a special bond with his sisters who lovingly called him "Ant". 

     Anthony is predeceased by his parents Anthony and Mary, his in-laws Howell, Eloise, Jerry and Linda, his nephew Michael and his grandson Ryan. He is survived by his wife Carol, daughters Lisa and Noelle, siblings (Darlene, Karen, Jeffrey, Gregory and Roland), grandson Lucas Anthony, godson Barry, many nieces and nephews and his adored cat Minky. 

     Visitation will be held at Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd, Utica, NY on Sunday April 26 from 2-3pm. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm at the conclusion of visitation. An interment with Military Honors will be scheduled at a later date at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY.

     The family would like to thank the staff at Wynn Hospital and The Grand Rehabilitation & Nursing - Mohawk Valley in Ilion, for the attentive care they gave Anthony and the support they provided to his family.
