Mrs. Jeanette S. Creo, 89, of Massachusetts, formerly of Utica, NY, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Alliance Health at Maples in Wrentham, MA, with her loving family by her side.

     Jeanette was born in Utica on August 15, 1936, the daughter of Livio and Ruth (Garofolo) Rubino. She was raised in Utica, where she attended Wetmore and Brandegee Schools, and was a proud graduate of Proctor High School, Class of 1954. She continued her education at the Utica School of Commerce, earning certification as a clerk typist. Jeanette began her professional career in 1955 at Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome. On September 19, 1959, Jeanette was united in marriage to Gabriel Creo, and together they were blessed with three beloved daughters. In 1976, she joined the staff at Notre Dame High School, where she remained a dedicated employee until her retirement in 2001. Jeanette was a longtime devout parishioner of Mary, Mother of Our Savior Parish, Our Lady of Lourdes Campus in Utica.

   Jeanette enjoyed giving back to her community. She volunteered for the Utica Heart run for many years and was a longtime volunteer for the Utica Parkway Senior Center where she received an Outstanding Service Award. She had a great love of music, BINGO, Wheel of Fortune, and puzzles of all kinds.

     Mrs. Creo is survived by her three loving daughters, Clorinda (Robert) Creo-Kirshy of Hopkinton, MA, Ruth Creo of Utica and Lenore (Ted) McAuliffe of Foxborough, MA; her five cherished grandchildren, Clorinda Lee (Mike DiPaola) Creo, Alexander Kirshy and Olivia Kirshy, Sadie McAuliffe and Livio McAuliffe as well as several adored nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Livio and Ruth, she was predeceased by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Angela (Frank) Tofani and Theresa (Peter) Dubyna.

     Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Jeanette’s Funeral Mass of Christian burial on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 12:00 Noon at Mary, Mother of Our Savior Parish, Our Lady of Lourdes Campus, 2222 Genesee St., Utica. Visitation for family and friends is Friday, May 8th from 4-8 pm at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica.
