UTICA-Ann F Davis passed away peacefully at Wynn Hospital, Utica, on May 2, 2026, with her daughter by her side.

     Ann was born on February 16, 1936, in Utica, the daughter of Francis R Lipinski and Della Oulette Lipinski. She grew up in the Utica area and graduated from Utica Free Academy in 1954. On October 2, 1954, she married the love of her life, Richard F Davis. They enjoyed 63 plus years together before Dick‘s passing in 2017. Ann was pre-deceased by her parents and her daughter Suzanne in 2007.

     She is survived by her loving daughter, Denise Lynn McAndrew, and her son-in-law, Michael McAndrew, whom she adored, along with their children Dylan (Jess), Rachel, and Danielle. Grandchildren: Jacquelyn McGann (Blake), David Marfone, Jaimie Ballard (Joseph Carcone), and Ryan Kepner. Also, seven great-grandchildren. Sister Della Krol with nieces, Kathleen Ramirez and Patricia Pereira. Sister Ellen Gatchell and niece Beth Gatchell. Sister-in-law Marilyn Wood, along with many nieces and nephews.

     Ann was employed and retired from Tri-State Industrial Laundries. She was an avid animal and bird lover who loved knitting, crocheting, and doing puzzles. Ann had an enormous, kind, generous, and selfless heart and soul. She loved to drive about town, going out for lunches and coffee, when she was not volunteering.

     She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Utica. She volunteered extensively before and after retirement, serving on many community boards over the years. She volunteered at Emmaus House, Threads of Life Thrift Store, Mohawk Valley Christian Women's Club, Stevens Swan Humane Society, Deerfield Seniors, and the Knit 1, Talk 3 Club. She will be sorely missed by many in the Utica community.

     Her daughter would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Wynn Hospital and St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Center for the compassion, kindness, and dignity shown to her mother in her final days.

     Her memorial service will be held Monday, May 11, 2026, at 12:00 noon at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., Utica, NY. Calling hours will be held from 11 AM to 12 PM prior to the service. Intermittent will be held privately.
