Mr. Robert “Bob” Alan Humiston, 69, of Holland Patent, New York, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Utica with his loving family by his side.

     Robert was born in Utica on August 17, 1956, the son of Dorwin “Tom” and Gloria (Marshall) Humiston. He was educated in the Poland Central School system and graduated from Poland High School. On December 31, 2014, Bob was united in marriage to Linda J. Kiefer. Bob dedicated 32 years of service as a lineman with IBEW Local 1249 before retiring in 2018. He found great joy in feeding the birds and had a deep love for animals, especially his beloved dogs. Bob also attended St. Mark’s Church in North Utica.

     Mr. Humiston is survived by his beloved wife, Linda; his loving daughter and cherished grandchildren, Marlene (Jacob) Raleigh and A.J. and Emma and his son, Robert Humiston; He is also survived by his brother, Thomas (Anne) Humiston; his six sisters, Debbie (Linda Piperata) Marshall, Valerie Bathke, Cheryl Tomaino, Pat (Nicole) Humiston, Linda Bienkowski, and Kathy (Bill) Lehman; Linda’s daughters, Ashley Benoit (Nate), along with their son, Jackson, Kyndra Benoit, and Patricia Merritt. He is further survived by his sister-in-law, Dorothy Humiston; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Michael (Sharon) Kiefer and Marianne (Michael) Dunn; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Dorwin and Gloria, Bob was predeceased by his brothers, Richard Humiston and Leslie Humiston; his sister, Bette Lockwood; his brother-in-law, Peter Bathke; his sister-in-law, Mary Humiston; and his two nephews, Russell Humiston and Thomas Humiston, Jr.

     Visitation for family and friends is Friday, May 29, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., North Utica. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the conclusion of visitation. He will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Cold Brook, NY.
