"FT MYERS, FLORIDA-Mrs. Caroline" Lola" Kupinski, age 102 passed away peacefully while holding her daughter Nancy’s hand on May 31, 2026, at the Hope Hospice House in Ft. Myers Florida.

     Caroline was born in Utica on November 17,1923 the daughter of Nellie and Martin Gnatek. She attended local schools and later worked for the General Electric Co. on Bleecker Street. On August 4, 1946, she was united in marriage to Stanley Kupinski, a loving union of almost sixty years until his passing in 2005.

     Caroline lived most of her life in North Utica in a home she loved, where she enjoyed cooking, baking, and decorating with crafts she purchased at local craft shows. Attending these shows with her daughter was the high-lite of each fall season. The crafts she displayed would change as the seasons and holidays changed. Several years ago she left Utica to be closer to her daughter Nancy in Ft. Myers Florida.

     Caroline is survived by her only child, Nancy and Nancy’s long-time partner Nole Talerico. She also leaves many nieces and nephews, especially a beloved niece Evelyn Chiarello of New Hartford. In addition to her husband Stanley, she was predeceased by a sister, Jeannie Hartman, and brothers Edward and Joseph Gnatek. Caroline will be remembered by those who knew her as being a kindhearted hard worker who always put the needs and desires of others before her own. She will be forever greatly missed by her loving and devoted daughter Nancy, with whom she shared a special bond.

     Funeral services for Caroline will be held on Wednesday June 10, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Road North Utica with burial to follow at Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Yorkville. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of the service.  In Lieu of flowers please consider a memorial contribution to a charity of your chocie in Caroline's name
