Dorine G. Jenkins

1937–2026

FRANKFORT, NY – Mrs. Dorine G. Jenkins, 88, formerly of Frankfort, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2026.

Dorine was born in Utica on July 28, 1937, the daughter of Joseph and Louella (Ingersoll) Jones. She was raised in Frankfort and Utica and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. She later earned her Teacher's Aide Certificate from Mohawk Valley Community College.

On September 28, 1957, Dorine was united in marriage to Raymond E. Jenkins, beginning a loving and devoted union that lasted 46 years until Raymond's passing in 2003.

For ten years, Dorine was employed as a clerk at the Party and Craft Barn in Whitesboro, where she also shared her talents by teaching knitting and crocheting classes. A woman of deep faith and service, she was an active member of the former Asbury United Methodist Church, faithfully serving as a certified lay speaker, Sunday School superintendent, and teacher. She was also a dedicated member of the Frankfort Center Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, the Herkimer County Historical Society, and proudly served as a Girl Scout leader for many years.

Dorine is survived by her loving children, her daughters, Louella Prentice of Frankfort and Diann (Daniel) McMahon of Warners; her cherished grandchildren, Sarah (Brian) Andrews, Tyler Jenkins, Alex McMahon, and Nicole (Nicholas) Estratti; her step grandchildren Kenneth, Mark, and Sandy her adored great-grandchildren, Leo, Lysander, Emberlynn, and Zachary; her brothers, Paul Jones and William Jones; as well as several beloved nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

In addition to her beloved husband, Raymond, Dorine was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Louella Jones; her daughter Karen, a son William, and her granddaughter Rachel. Her sister, Lorriane; and her brothers, Robert, Richard, and Merrill

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Dorine's funeral service on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Road, North Utica. Interment will immediately follow in Frankfort Center Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m.
