Mr. Ronald E. Omes, Jr., 60, of Utica, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Wynn Hospital in Utica.

     Ronald was born in Utica on September 8, 1965, the son of Ronald E., Sr. and Bernice (Haft) Omes. He was raised in Utica and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. For more than 20 years, Ronald owned and operated a successful contracting business in Fort Myers, Florida. An avid football enthusiast, Ronald was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed traveling and found simple pleasure and relaxation in watching Saturday morning cartoons. Ronald was of the Catholic faith.

     Ronald is survived by his two daughter, Jessica and Nicole Rogers and his son, Nicholas; his four sisters, Beverly Swift, Barbara Ann Omes, Joan Omes, and Tina Omes; his four brothers, Donald Omes, Barry (Tonya) Omes, Rick (Darlene) Omes, and David (Yolanda) Omes; his companion, Kim Donovan; and his dear friend, Brianna Siliga, who was like a niece to him. He also leaves behind many cherished grandchildren, nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart. In addition to his beloved parents, Ronald and Bernice, Ronald was predeceased by his brother, Raymond Omes.

     Visitation for family and friends is Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM at the conclusion of visitation. He will be laid to rest in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Yorkville at the convenience of the family.
