Rocco C. Rosati Obituary

Mr. Rocco "Rock" C. Rosati, 88, of North Utica, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at his home with his loving family by his side.

Rocco was born in Utica on August 6, 1937, the son of Antonio and Nancy (Curto) Rosati. He was raised in Utica and graduated from Proctor High School. Following his education, Rock proudly served his country in the United States Army. On October 29, 1960, Rock was united in marriage to the love of his life, Dolores C. Dubiel, at Holy Trinity Church in Utica. Together, they shared a lifetime of love and devotion.

As a teenager, Rock worked at Salerno’s Market in Utica. He later began a long and dedicated career with the New York State Department of Transportation, where he served as an engineer until his retirement on March 27, 1991.

Rock enjoyed bowling and hunting, but his greatest passion was golfing. He was an avid and devoted New York Yankees fan and cherished the many friendships he made through his interests and community involvement. He was a proud member of American Legion Utica Post 229 in North Utica, the Eagles Club in Deerfield, and Knights of Columbus Council 189. Rock was of the Catholic faith.

Mr. Rosati is survived by his beloved wife, Dolores; his three loving daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Ed Duffy of New Hartford, Cheryl and Michael Corasanti of Buffalo, and Theresa and Jim Gaffney of Whitesboro; his six cherished grandchildren, Katelynn Duffy, Daniel Duffy, Andrea Corasanti, Nicholas Corasanti, Jessica (Adam) Oster, and Jimmy (Brittany) Gaffney; and his three adored great-grandchildren, Carter Oster, Jacklyn Gaffney, and Josie Gaffney. Also surviving are his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald and Pat Dubiel of Columbia, CT, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Enzo (Priscilla) Rosati and Anthony (Mary) Rosati; his three sisters, Alice (Jim) Delitto, Mary (Nick) Altieri, and Adeline (Bill) Stamboly; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Mary Dubiel.
