Colleen S. Riley, 51, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica. Colleen was born in Norwich, NY on December 22, 1963 the daughter of Richard and Helena (Cardner) Riley. She was a graduate of South New Berlin High School and Utica School of Commerce. Colleen had a heart of gold and loved helping others. She enjoyed shopping, watching crime shows on TV, had a great love for animals and her greatest joy was spending time with her family who were the light of her life. Colleen attended Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Utica. Colleen is survived by her longtime friend and companion, David LaFlair of Utica; one sister and brother-in-law, Laurie and Leroy Burdick of Oxford, NY; one brother, Marc Riley of Norwich; her aunt, Shirley Riley of Norwich; brother-in-law, Marty Potter of Norwich; nephews and nieces, Don Davis, Craig Burdick, Wendy and Tom MacIntosh, Maureen and Stephen Brown, Melissa Everitt, Lacey Everitt Burlison, and Joseph Riley; great nieces and nephews, Megan and Lindsey who were especially close with Colleen, Brianna, Zachary, Nicholas, Wayne, Jeffrey, Stefanie Jo, Mathew, Abby, Kayla, Ethan and Eli; a great great nephew, Jensen and David's Parents, Hank and Marilyn LaFlair of Utica; She was predeceased by three sisters, Patricia Potter, Sandra Ryan and Judy Davis, her uncle Bob Riley and nephew, Bobby Davis. Colleen's funeral and burial will be held at the convenience of her family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heintz Funeral Service, Inc., Utica.
