Clarence W. (Chris) Hillage, Jr., 57, of Utica passed away on Friday, October 5, 2012 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. Clarence was born in Utica on November 21, 1954 a son of Janice (Barnes) Hillage and the late Clarence W. Hillage, Sr. He was a graduate of Whitesboro High School. Clarence was united in marriage to Karen DeShane. He was of the Methodist Faith. Clarence enjoyed repairing small engines and was always willing to help anyone who needed it. He was very close to his two brothers and they were called the 3 Musketeers by family and friends. Clarence is survived by his mother, Janice Hillage, Whitesboro, his wife, Karen, Utica, a daughter, Donna Hillage a son, Andrew Hillage, 6 sisters, Barbara and Edward Chamberlain, N.Y. Mills, Laurie Bulger and Ken Kaczor, Utica, Susan Hillage, Whitesboro, Donna and Richard Angell, Sauquoit, Tina and Mark Oakley, Whitesboro, and Janice and Ronald Sierak, New Hartford, 2 brothers, Michael Hillage and Steven Hillage, Whitesboro, an aunt, Barbara Surace, Utica, a special cousin, Nancy Sobrado, Rome, 11 nieces and nephews and 13 great nieces and nephews. Clarence was predeceased by his father in 2003. Clarence's funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 11:00 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. Burial will take place in Carr Cemetery, Marcy. Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday from 5-7. Those so wishing may make donations to the American Cancer Society in Clarence's memory.
