Margaret L. LaVigne, 92, of Katherine Luther Residential Health Care Center and formerly of New Hartford and Florida passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2012. Margaret was born in Utica on April 18, 1920 a daughter of Harold and Nellie (Layng) Sheldon. At St. Francis de Sales Church, Utica on August 29, 1941 Margaret married Edward H. LaVigne a blessed union of 60 years until his death in 2001. Margaret was a former member of St. Thomas Church, New Hartford. Throughout her life Margaret was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who's family always came first. Margaret is survived by three daughters; Yvonne Cleveland, SC, Patricia LaVigne, New Hartford and Laura LaVigne, FL, a son; Douglas LaVigne, FL, four grandchildren and spouses; Denise and Brian Wiklacz, SC, Sabrina and Michael Arcuri, AZ, Derek and Madeleine Ramsey, NC and Gabrielle Buttiglieri, Marcy and three great grandchildren. Mrs. LaVigne's funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 11:00 at the Our Savior Chapel of the Katherine Luther Residential Health Care Center, 108 Utica Rd., Clinton. Calling hours will be held at the Katherine Luther Health Care Center on Tuesday from 3:30 to 6:30. Burial will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Those so wishing may make donations to the March of Dimes or Hospice and Palliative Care in Margaret's memory. The family would like to thank the staffs of the Katherine Luther Health Care Facility and Hospice and Palliative Inc. for all the loving care given to Margaret.
