Beverly J. (Leach) Annese, 80, of Deerfield passed away on Friday, July 27, 2012 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare. Beverly was born in Utica on June 25, 1932 a daughter of Carl and Alta (Griffin) Leach. At St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church on September 12, 1953 Beverly was united in marriage to Anthony Annese a blessed union of 51 years until his death on August 26, 2004. For many years until her retirement Beverly was employed with the Utica School System. She was a parishioner of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church. Spending time with her children and grandchildren brought much happiness to Beverly and every week she looked forward to her special Saturday night date with her grandson Carl Anthony. Beverly is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Toni Lynn and Martin Summers of Westchester, PA, her son and daughter-in-law, Carl and LuAnn Annese of Marcy, her six beloved grandchildren, Carolyn Summers, Laura Summers, Rachel Summers, Alicia Ellis and husband, Ronald, Carl Anthony Annese and Evan Annese, a sister-in-law, Loretta Leach McCuldi, Schuyler and a dear friend Bernice Stalker, Deerfield. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Beverly was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Leach. Mrs. Annese's funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 9:15 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica and at 10:00 from St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church, Utica where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday (today) from 4-7.
