Illa A. Gorton, 70, of Utica passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 16, 2012. Illa was born in Malone, NY on March 26, 1942 a daughter of Roy and Margaret (McNamara) Dukette. At St. Anthony's Church, Utica on July 25, 1964 Illa was united in marriage to Ralph D. Gorton. For many years until her retirement she was employed with St. Luke's Hospital. Illa was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and the New Hartford Senior Center. In her spare time Illa enjoyed doing ceramics. Illa is survived by her beloved husband Ralph, a sister-in-law, Mary Vrailas and husband Constantine, TN, several nieces, nephews and many close friends. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Burial will take place in Crown Hill Memorial Cemetery.
