Sheila L. Padykula, 65, a resident of Heritage Health Care Center, formerly of Utica, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the home. Sheila was born in Malone, NY on June 14, 1946, the daughter of Francis and Ida (Harris) Clark. She was raised and educated in Utica. Sheila was a devoted mother and homemaker, who adored her grandchildren. She enjoyed arts and crafts, especially making her cardboard birdhouses. Sheila was affectionately known as the "queen of cardboard" by her family. She is dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Sheila is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda Padykula-Smith and her husband, Charles, CT, Daphne and Brian Lindig, North Utica; three cherished grandchildren, Maddison and Maxwell Smith, and Camden Lindig; her brother, Jeffrey Clark, Utica. She is predeceased by her mother, Ida Clark, and a brother, Kurt Lynn Clark. Ms. Padykula's funeral service will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in St. Agnes Cemetery, Utica. Relatives and friends may call at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica, Friday evening, from 4 - 7 pm.
