Mary Elizabeth Carroll, 59, of Utica, passed away January 4, 2012 at the HPCI Siegenthaler Center in Clinton. Mary was born November 11, 1952 in Newburgh, NY, the daughter of Raymond and Elizabeth Carroll. She was a graduate of Valley Central High School in Montgomery, NY. Mary was employed with the New York State Department of Corrections for 33 years. She will always be remembered for her great sense of humor. Mary was an avid sports fan. She loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Yankees. Mary is survived by a son, Vincent Pettine, Goshen, NY; two daughters and a son-in-law, Lindsay Pettine, Astoria, NY, Alison and Paul Arduini, Mineola, NY; her mother, Elizabeth M. Carroll, Palm Harbor, FL; two grandchildren, Lia and Anthony Arduini; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Kathy Cagney, Utica, Candise and Mick Reynolds, Palm Harbor, FL. She is predeceased by her father, Raymond Carroll. Mary's funeral services are being held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Road, N. Utica. Those wishing may donate to the HPCI Siegenthaler Center in Mary's memory. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff of the Siegenthaler Center for their outstanding care and services.
