Ronald L. Decker, 76, of Whitesboro passed away on Monday, November 14, 2011 at the Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Center after a long illness. Ronald was born in Utica on July 29, 1935 a son of the late Lawrence and Irene (Newton) Decker. In Utica on January 15, 1955 Ronald married Margaret Hart. For many years until his retirement he was employed with the Chicago Pneumatic Tool Co. Ronald is survived by his wife, Margaret, a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Alan Jones, Marcy, 2 grandsons, Jason Jones, Whitesboro and Wayne Jones, Whitesboro, 2 great grandchildren, Jason Jones, Sauquoit and Alex Jones, North Utica, a sister and brother-in-law, June and Arnie LaVine, CA, a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Laura Decker, NC, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Fred Harmon, Whitesboro, and many nieces and nephews, especially acknowledging a special nephew, Edward Loomis, Mohawk, NY. Mr. Decker's funeral will be held on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 11:00 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday evening from 6-9. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff on the 5th floor of Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare for all the loving care they gave to Ronald.
