Louise M. Pohorecki, 78, of Whitesboro passed away on Friday, November 11, 2011 at the Lutheran Homes, Clinton. Louise was born in Utica on March 27, 1933 a daughter of Anthony and Catherine (Najda) Sychtysz. At Holy Trinity Church, Utica on October 16, 1954 Louise married Francis Pohorecki. She was a member of St. Paul's Church, Whitesboro. Louise is survived by her husband Francis, a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Douglas Barron, Clayville, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Donald Pohorecki, Whitesboro and Darren and Karen Pohorecki, Whitesboro, four grandchildren, Scott Barron, Kelly Barron, Megan Pohorecki and Gregory Pohorecki, a great granddaughter, Emily Barron, a sister, Jane Piechowicz, NY Mills, and a brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Betty Sychtysz, Marcy. She is also survived by many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Louise was predeceased by two sisters, Stella Waskiewicz and Sophie Rewer and three brothers, Stanley, Edward and Chester Sychtysz. Mrs. Pohorecki's funeral will be held on Monday, November 14, 2011 at 9:30 from St. Paul's Church, Whitesboro. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. There are no calling hours. The family would like to thank the staff of Gordon Unit of the Katherine Luther Home for all the loving care given to Louise.
