Obituary of Rose Marie Puliafico

Mrs. Rose Marie Puliafico, 85, of Forestport, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at her home with her loving family by her side. Rose was born in Utica, on May 14, 1933, the daughter of Louis and Josephine (Cole) Pike and received her education in Waterville, NY. On August 11, 1951, Rose was united in marriage with George Roberts, a devoted union of 34 years until George’s death in 1985. On June 23, 1990, Rose married Charles Puliafico. Charles died in 2000. For many years, she was employed as a private house keeper in the Utica area. Rose enjoyed visiting lighthouses and was a collector of salt and pepper shakers. She was of the Lutheran faith. Mrs. Puliafico is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law, Patricia and Frank Crewell of CA, Elizabeth Karleskent of Utica and Barbara Roberts of Forestport; two sons and daughters-in-law, George and Karen Roberts of Floyd and Larry and JoAnne Roberts of Little Falls; two sisters, Evelyn Varguson of Utica and Shirley Talerico of Utica as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two daughters, Carol Roberts and Roberta Roberts and several brothers and sisters. Calling hours for family and friends are Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Her burial, in Fairview Cemetery in Little Falls, will be held at the convenience of the family.
