Obituary of James H. Wolf

Mr. James H. Wolf, 69, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday November 3, 2011 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare in New Hartford. James was born in Utica on December 21, 1941 the son of Howard and Elizabeth (Charbonneau) Wolf. He was raised locally and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. James Proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. On May 18, 1963, James married the love of his life, Doris Jean Graves, at St. Patrick's Church in Utica. For 23 years, he was employed with Mohawk Data Science and later with Utica Corp retiring in 1998. James was a member of the former Sacred Heart Church in Utica and most recently was attending St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church in Utica. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and NY Yankee fan. James believed that family was of the greatest importance and was most proud of his children and grandchildren who were the light of his life. Mr. Wolf is survived by his beloved wife, Jean; his daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Fred Price of Manlius, NY; his son, Kevin Wolf of Tully, NY; three cherished grandchildren, Peyton Nicole Wolf, James Price and Lucas Price; one sister, Elizabeth Carol Sullivan of Hilton Head, SC; sister-in-law, Carol Wolf of Pensacola, FL; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law, Robert and Sally Graves of Utica and Kenny Graves, Jr., of Rochester and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Howard and Elizabeth, sister, Patricia Chamberlain, brother, Thomas Wolf and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Marjorie (Charlie) Graves. Relatives and friends are invited to Mr. Wolf's Memorial Mass of Christian burial on Monday November 7, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church, 702 Columbia St., Utica. Interment, in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Whitesboro will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
