Arlene M. "Bobbie" Brown, 75, of Whitesboro, passed away Friday, November 4, 2011 at her home. Bobbie was born July 16, 1936 in Utica, the daughter of Joseph L. and Genevieve (Clark) Maxwell. She was raised and educated in Utica. Bobbie was employed with the Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center for 21 years. On October 27, 1956, Bobbie married Robert J. "Bob" Brown, and just celebrated 55 years of marriage. Their union produced eleven children. She was a member of St. Paul's Church in Whitesboro. Bobbie is survived by her husband, Robert Brown, Sr.; seven sons and their spouses, Robert, Jr. and Lisa Brown, Marc Brown, Chris and Sue Brown, Frank and Barbara Brown, Steve Brown and Randy, Pat Brown and Amy, Donny Brown and Helen; two daughters and their spouses, Janice and Jim Mills, Tracey and Tom Lehmann; 16 cherished grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; as well as by her faithful canine companion, Beau. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Shirley Brown; a brother-in-law, George "Brownie" Brown; as well as many nieces and nephews. Bobbie also leaves several dear friends, including Joanie, Beverly, Gail, Shirley K., and Shirley D. She is predeceased by a daughter, Joellyn Maxwell; a son, Joseph Leigh; and a grandson, Christopher. Mrs. Brown's funeral will be held on Monday, November 7, 2011 at 11:30 am at St. Paul's Church in Whitesboro, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Whitestown. Relatives and friends may call at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica, on Sunday afternoon, from 2 - 5 pm.
