David J. Raciti, 50, of North Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica. David was born in Utica on February 28, 1961, the son of James W., Jr. and Winifred (Zombik) Raciti. He was raised and educated in Utica. David was employed with PJ Green Advertising in Utica for the past 29 years. He was a member of St. Peter's Church in North Utica. David was a fan of all sports and a collector of sports memorabilia. He was a loving and generous person who always put others ahead of himself. David is survived by his mother, Winifred (Winnie) Raciti, N. Utica; a brother and his companion, Michael Raciti and Bambi Holtslander, Utica; an aunt and uncle, Jeannette and Daniel Guzski, SC. Also surviving are several cousins, a great aunt, two great uncles and his dear friends from PJ Green Advertising, and especially his lifelong friend, Jim Rondenelli, Utica. He was predeceased by his father, James W. Raciti, Jr. in 2005 and by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Raciti, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Zombik. A Memorial Mass will be held for Mr. Raciti on Monday, August 29, 2011 at 10:00 am at St. Peter's Church, N. Utica where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment, in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Whitestown, will take place at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. .
